In the beautiful surroundings of the club’s historic library, we were treated to memorable speeches and a series of gala performances provided by a glittering array of Broadway Stars.

Hosted by Jim Ferris who plays “Timon” in “The Lion King,” the evening was a combination of beautiful songs, unbounded humor and poignant memories. Surprise appearances included Taylor Ritzel, the latest addition to The Get In Touch

Foundation’s team and their very own Olympic Gold Medal winner, and a captivating star turn by none other than the iconic Ben Vereen, top hat, sneakers and all.

Ben was on his way to pick up an award of his own that night but stopped in to “steal the show” in a way that only he can. An unforgettable and moving experience for all in attendance.

Victoria and her mother, Patsy, were both honored by the foundation during the course of the evening as “supporter” and as “woman of strength.”

Sharing the evening with her mother in this way was very special for Victoria. In her acceptance speech she explained why the evening meant so much to her:

“There are two women here tonight who celebrate life to the fullest and are such a personal inspiration to me.  Mary Ann Wasil Nilan, for her amazing crusade to promote breast health awareness for all women as well as the courageous and inspirational way she has faced her own challenges.  And my own mother, Patsy, who is a 2-year cancer survivor and who, for all of my life, has shown through her attitude, example, laughter and love that she is larger than life.”

“We are so honored to be a small part of what The Get In Touch Foundation is doing to improve the lives of girls all over the world.”

As part of the evening’s silent auction which featured some incredible prizes including seats and backstage passes to some of Broadway’s leading productions,

Victoria designed a very special gown that truly would have been a star on the red carpet of last weekends Oscars Ceremony – a dramatic mermaid tulle specially created in pink befitting the occasion.

The most talented actors and actresses strolling the Red Carpet in anticipation of the Golden Globe Awards. Beautiful people in some of the most beautiful designs from some of the most famous fashion designers in the world.

One of our favorites is this mermaid silhouette. The figure flattering design that is a signature style by Victoria Nicole. The elongated torso is created with our exclusive Shimmer beadwork. The grounds of historic Dowling College date from 1876, when William K. Vanderbilt, grandson of the great railroad magnate, purchased 900 acres, from Montauk Highway to the Great South Bay, on the east bank of the Connetquot River, on which to build his summer and holiday residence. The beautiful mansion that stands today was built in 1901. It became a college in 1963 and was renamed Dowling College in 1968 after its chief benefactor, Robert Dowling.

It’s beauty and grandeur so close to the home of Victoria Nicole made it the classic choice for Victoria to use as a setting for her Spring 2013.

Designing a Victoria Nicole dress for Jennifer Aniston for her upcoming wedding to Justin Theroux was a personal tribute on the part of Victoria, a long time admirer of this smart, savvy and ultimately very genuine actress. “Someone very definitely of my generation who I identify with” said Victoria who sees her very much as an “honest, caring person who has always been true to herself, her art, and her values which is something we can all aspire to.”

About the dress Victoria explained, “I designed this gown to be form fitting to highlight Jennifer’s flawless figure – anytime I see her at special events, she is in an equally form fitting silhouette which suits her so well”

The gown, a one shoulder silk organza and tulle trumpet, has touches of alencon lace and delicate embroidery. Victoria particularly wanted to use a touch of lace because she wanted this dress to recognize the very special nature of the event and for it to stand apart from the evening gowns Ms. Aniston wears to red carpet and other gala events. The embroidery then adds a hint of sparkle and glamour which are reflective of each of their styles. Note to bridal watchers: you may want to look out for the “Jennifer” in a future Victoria Nicole collection.

“I am thrilled it seems she has found happiness,” concluded Victoria, “she seems to have endured so much with such good grace. I believe good things happen for good people, and I wish her all the very best for her future happiness with Mr. Theroux.”

As summer temperatures soar, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new tradition from Victoria Nicole – the  premier of the “Summer Sizzler” – designed to be the hottest dress of the season.

Victoria adds some extra sparkle to our favorite Bridal Salons across the country with a fresh new, hot design. As one of the designers Randy Fenoli selected to feature as part of his new television special “Randy to the Rescue,” Victoria was delighted to be able to attend the show’s launch party in NYC last week.

As well as spending time with Randy and his team, Victoria was able to catch up with her good friends, and fellow designers, including Francesca Pitera (above with Randy), Jim Hjelm, Judd Waddell and Amsale (pictured below from left to right).  ”It was lovely evening,” said Victoria. “It was very intimate, and I was really able to enjoy my time speaking with Randy and his other guests.”

About the show itself, Victoria said she was, “very happy for Victoria Nicole  to be part of what Randy set out to do in ‘Randy to the Rescue.’ ” She added, ” Randy is a doll, and such a pleasure to be around.  It is so wonderful to see his talent be appreciated.”

When asked about recent milestone events at Victoria Nicole, including major magazine covers, Randy’s show, and its involvement with the Get in Touch Foundation Victoria commented, “So many amazing things are happening at Victoria Nicole right now! I am very happy with our progress, and it is very gratifying for me to to be able to share this with our staff who have worked so hard to make everything happen.”

“Randy to the Rescue” airs every Friday evening at 10/9c on TLC, as each week he brings his collection of designer gowns, and his wedding wisdom, to brides in different cities across the country.
